Re: Feds now ban Assisted openers and Flick knives
They've got tough search and seizure powers as far as the penalties are concerned. Are these "paper laws" or are they rigorously enforced? " These are rigorously enforced and have severe penalties as well as monetary penalties behind them, The existing criminal offences that are most relevant to ca...

Re: Feds now ban Assisted openers and Flick knives
We have the same tough laws here in Australia, flick, spring assisted, button lock, gravity, butterfly, OTF and swords are all controlled (you have to have a VERY expensive license to import and keep them, $160.00 every 3 years, and they are treated the same as having a gun, must be locked up at all...

Polishing African Blackwood?
Hi, I came across a nice piece of African Blackwood that I am going to use as a handle on a knife, I know it can be polished, I would just like to know if any one has some tips on how to do it, I have tried and have put a decent polish on a small piece by using a fresh polishing buff and some white ...

Re: And "no" means no.
I sharpened an ax for a guy and warned him it was VERY, VERY, sharp [and would shave] he walked over to a friend and said "lets see how sharp", then he ran his thumb down the blade - 4 or 5 stiches  I had the same thing happen with my mother in-laws kitchen knives, i repaired (wooden handles ...

Re: Spring upgrade on a boker magnum
I have had one of my brother in-laws mates offer me $100.00 for the "modded" Boker magnum, I told him if he is willing to pay for it it's his, as long as he "forgets" who he got it from.....best thing is I only payed $18.00 for it (the knife) and the spring cost me $0.64c.

Re: Spring upgrade on a boker magnum
Down here in Australia the "switchblade" can cause some serious trouble for you IF you get court with one, I brought one from a guy in the U.S ( eBay ) and as a "bonus" he threw in a spring, (the spring was not in the knife just in the same box) problem was that Australian customs realized that the ...

Re: Converting 6”cold steel Ti-lite into switch blade
Do it as a dual action [combination switch/thumb opener] That way you only need to hold the SPRING shut not the blade. Hi Vagrant, can you help us out as I'm having trouble with the button release, I will have to remove to much of the blade and the part of the blade that hits the stop pin, f...

Re: Converting 6”cold steel Ti-lite into switch blade
bit of a snag with the conversion, The cold steel ti-lite is a liner lock knife , so I only need the button release to well, release the blade not lock it into place! as the stock locking system as it is fantastic, I don't want to have to use 2 hands to close the thing, one to press the button in an...

Very nice, I like how you have taken the antler and turned it around and used it as part of the guard, do you mind if I pinch the idea?
