That one looks very similar to one I sold/ traded on here a few months ago. Mine had the swage blade, tang stamp, and the bolster wasn't stepped.

I don't see any reason that this would be the wrong forum, but I'm not a moderator so my opinion doesn't mean anything. The ones I know aren't overbearing at all in my experience here. I doubt it'll be an issue.

I have lots of these springs available at my work as they come as part of a bendix assembly . We discard this spring and replace it with a lighter weight one for use in the gear assembly we need it for.

Bill, what I wanted to know was if it would take a proper temper again after being annealed and the how of re heat treating it if it could be done. I'm quite capable of following directions I just need to know what to look for, color -wise as I heat it.

I'm having success shaping it cold, actually, so I don't think I'll risk it.
