Re: Bolster-activated auto
That's probably why they stopped making them. But despite the eventual failure mode, I love this knife. It opens strong and fast and locks up tight. I have three of them.

Bolster-activated auto
This auto releases the blade when you push the bolster to the right, ever so slightly. It snaps open very fast and hard. I've had many of these over the years, and they all fail after a while. The mechanism is very subtle and touchy.

Re: OTF "Gun"
I appreciate your effort to provide this info to me. I'll investigate this site with some better software tools when I get back to my office on Tuesday.

Re: OTF "Gun"
My Chrome browser is not honoring the SSL certificate and Malwarebytes says that the site is a high phishing risk. So, beware.

Another funky OTF
Here is a Boker-Matic Argentina (whatever that means!) that is spring loaded to pull the blade back in, but not to deploy it. To deploy the blade, you push the scale to the right and then push up on the thumb device. The blade then locks into place when the scale slides back into alignment. Once the...

My Microtech HALO II
Although this is marked HALO, I'm pretty sure it's a HALO II, based on the manufacture date of 3/98. Are there any Microtech experts out there who can weigh in?

Re: Tekna Micro Knife
I'm sure that more than a few people have sliced their fingers open trying to pull the sheath back over the blade.

Wow, there is an entire industry making these oddball autos! I believe that mine us Spanish. I'll dig in further into to the markings on it and report back.

Tekna Micro Knife
Here's an interesting take on an OTF knife. You press the button on the bottom of the handle and the sheath that covers the blade retracts, exposing the double-edged blade.
