Was able to find this photo of a pro ported 19th century India made springer but the blade looks completely rotted (note bent tip looks ready to disintegrate).

Did finally find a couple of these brass fish from India circa 1900’s with similar levers but the quality of the handle art did not compare. Blades very similar.

I sent an email with photos to Doon 2 days ago. I’ll share it if I actually get any response.

I don’t know why but I just looked at your site and could only seethe home page which had some Doon gun knives that are still made today. If you could send a link to the fish I would love to see them as I just did an extensive 1 1/2 hour search on many combinations of keywords which brought up 1 han...

Thanks. I seem to remember not being able to pin the maker back when I got it. Have many more surfaced? The AKA article it was featured in was sort of trying to tie it to another knife they showed in the article.

Found in pretty bad shape but lovingly restored to a hard firing beauty by Dr. Shivs 20 years ago. Hope I have this sizing app working right. Enjoy!!
