Re: ID please, looks to be 11 or 13inch

I just saw a flat ground 11" swing guard on Arizona Customs with the same tang stamp (no serrations though). It's listed as a Frank Beltrame, but I take everything I read on A/C with a big grain of salt. It's on page 23 of the Frank Beltrame listings, SKU# 156889 I'm sticking with my bet. And I'm mo...

Re: ID please, looks to be 11 or 13inch

My bet would be it's a Frank Beltrame, based on the guards, bolsters, and pins.

But I wouldn't bet more than I could afford to loose  .

Re: ID please

For me the giveaways are the "Rostfrei" stamp combined with the distinct blade stop/back spring.

It has no broad lock head, so not a pick lock or swivel bolster. And there is no lock release anywhere in the spine of the handle like on a swing guard.

Hello Killgar, forgive me I'm answering you late too.. Yes it's true that the story is sometimes interesting but I have no idea of the history of this knife.. My grandfather collected a lot of objects this one Was stored open in a wooden box with felt like a wine bottle box, I don't know, sorry. ...

Re: Rare picklock vintage de 28 cm avec croix maltaise (je l'ai vu sur la couverture de M. Paolo ALDIGHI

Hey Frenchi. Nice collection of knives, thanks for sharing. I often find the story of how a person acquired an old switchblade to be just as interesting, if not more interesting than the knife itself. If you'd be willing to share, I for one would be interested to hear how you came by the Maltese cro...

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

Has anybody bought from direct knife sales in kansas from Richard? SAYS he's a member here. I have. Two knives. Had to return one, a Frank Beltrame 11". It had serious issues. Despite the knife being clearly defective, and despite DKS's stated policy of providing a full refund for defective knives,...

Re: West German GRAVITY knife

. Seems about as likely as sticking your target by throwing a steak knife that's taped to a brick. That made me laugh  I was curious to see how many other gravity knives are in the Movie List, and there aren't many: THE Alfred Hitchcock Hour "Memo From Purgatory" (1964) The Final (2010) Knife ...

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

I need to catch a good blade show, mail order just about anything today can be risky. Lost, damaged ect. Yes I did get a refund on the knife. I had to eat the shipping both ways. I sent them close up pics of the hot glue and they still relisted the knife, and it sold . Crazy Well that's disappointi...

Re: Couple of new OTFs from the knife show

I found that "Finka" knife interesting, so I took a look around the internet. The knife posted by last_vegas is different from the Chinese "Finkas" that are commonplace (DHGate, Aliexpress, Amazon, Ebay, etc, etc). The first pic below is the common manual Chinese model, the pics of the autos are tak...

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

You really need to double-check your purchases from Arizona Customs. I'm not trying to knock them, I believe the people running it are good people and that they are acting in good faith, but they make mistakes. I recently saw that they sold a knock-off of a Smith & Wesson Rocky Moser auto as the rea...

Re: Mini STILETTO Italy PicLock NEW

All switchblades are legal to own in my state of California, but the blade must be under 2" long to be legal to carry. So the knife pictured would be legal to both own and carry in California. But of course under the Federal Switchblade Act it is illegal to ship or transport any and all switchblades...

They have a website- https://www.fraraccio.it

Looks like they are located in Frosolone. It doesn't look like they make any switchblades.

Re: WTB: Prison Knives

I look upon "made in a Russian prison" the same way I look upon "carried by Navy SEALs". Pure marketing. I'd wager it's some guy making them in his garage. My advice, if you really like the design of a particular knife, and it's reasonably priced, and you can afford it, buy it. But don't pay a premi...

Re: White nato/Super auto OTF knife

So did the maker of NATO OTF's ever produce a knife with scorpions on the handles, or were they custom made by some prop department? And if they were custom made, were they made specifically for "Sometimes They Come Back" (1991), since that movie was made 6 years before the "12 Angry Men" remake wit...
