Here is my first attempt at a repair of the damaged scales which I believe were created from the bug that eats the horn scales. Mario, here is my way of doing it, pretty much Like Mickey described. I learn better by viewing so hope the pics help. I haven't been doing this long, just started working on old crappy condition knives until I got enough confidence to work on better ones. I screwed my share of parts up - it happens...

Some of them had the Fish Scaler ridge back. Manual folders had a plain clip point blade. and the second blade had a bottle opener "C", the tip was a hook remover ( looked like a letter "Y" ) and instead of a second blade there was the ridged edge fish scaler. attached photos show areproduction car...
