Re: need work done on my switchblade

I could be wrong,
the bottom bolster looks square like a 1980's Edge Co Japanese Knife.
Does it have a "Slip-in" spring ?

I have one with lighter wood . . . .and mine "peeks out" also.
but not as much, because I rarely close it. It's been in a shoebox for 20 years.

Celebrity run-ins. . . . Although I watched Brady Bunch, because in those days, there were 5 channels. ABC, CBS and NBC . . . . Channel 13 Public Television, and channel 53 UHF antenna. I spent more time in a basement workshop with a radio, or Guitar, than TV controlled by my father. ' The only reas...

I'm proud of Walt. . . . a lot of thinking went into that . . it evolved a bit to suit the manufacturing. How he can motivate and supervise is fascinating and he has good taste. I was somewhat involved, but mostly pre-production. More than a year or maybe Five years ago. Lots of drawings. . . But. I...

I have a really white 11 inch tilt bolster . . .real horn. '
but you can see the cream color in it also.

I don't know if I can access it for a photo op.
It's boxed up and down a flight of steps.

Re: Blackboard Jungle picklock

Funny thing was, in my day, everyone had knives. . .
Half of the kids came in in bluejeans and cowboy boots smelling like farm manure.
You did your chores before school.
I had to walk and feed the horses.

Re: Blackboard Jungle picklock

Doesn't Jamie Farr ( MASH Corporal Klinger) take the knife and stab it into a table and snap the blade off. (somebody does)
I remember him using a small flag on a pole to disarm Vic Mprrow.

The Dunning Kruger Effect. . . . ( spelling ? . . . . and badly paraphrased) Take 3 people . . .1. A dumb person, . . .2. a person who knows a little bit,. . . 3. and a smart well learned person. 1. the Dumb person will be overconfident, and speak as if they are an expert. 2. the moderately educated...

I'm against the philosophy, but the architecture is fine by me. . . In Pittsburgh there is a building on a college campus that was built in the 1930's. It used Beams of light shining upward to make sky high columns . . . Much like the colonnades of light in the Nazi Movie . . "Triumph of the Will." ...

I used sarcasm well, in person, verbally . .
but I can't do it in type without making enemies.
So I'm somewhat dry and Literal. . . on line.

I used to test people's intelligence a lot with verbal puns. .
That didn't go over well. . .

Thanks to the above, I found them, a 3rd party makes a copy. and I'm an Artist, I can fake a wrapper and box better than most. But I have not sent away for the actual confectionary yet. . .
