Welcome Welcome. . .
I notice people will collect a "type" . . or several types . .

Re: I have never made myself a knife!
Very clean work , nice and deliberate. .
I envy your hands. . .
I'm steady . .for drawing. . .I can pinstripe a bike tank freehand. .
but to be steady . .and exert that much pressure . .at a very even rate . .
over a long period of time . .
My hands would lock up fast. . .lose their finesse . . .

Re: Question about a Vosteed fixed blade sheath?
I think the holes in the sheath are there for you to lace it up to a soft back.
( like a bayonet frog ) remember the original Sykes Fairbarne frypan sheaths. .
You were supposed to sew them to gear. . .
You have to make a belt hanger, and lace the sheath at an angle. . .
and no. . . you don't ...

Yes. . .It is probably O.M.O.R. not with an "A" . . .
but people keep moving me, or my stuff , I don't know where the knife is.
Yes, Catalog . . sort of. . .I have a vinyl 1960's book-bag with all the knife flyers

Re: Highest Switchblade Price
I've seen engravers work shotguns at the Ohio Gun Collectors Assoc. Meetings.
They clock lots of hours on a project, they actually can't fully charge all their hours.
They round out the time, make minimal pattern, then continue detail as the buyer can afford.
I think there is a "market value" no ...

Above link is a short repeating video of a stage prop OTF.
It is specifically not locking open, fake stabbings.
She can be seen pushing it in with her fingertip.

Re: When it rains it pours. . K12-AL's abound
So . .that's it for my K12 rant . . .
I have lots of k12 photos. . .I couldn't post them all.
So I'll leave you with some fantasy modifications . .
The disclaimer is. . It's a rebuild of an old and fragile knife.
There was some "fuss" over the vagueness of "Vintage" or "Resto-Mod".

Re: When it rains it pours. . K12-AL's abound
I was so obsessed with the K12-AL advertising Drawing with the unrealistic long blade. .
I loved that ad. . .I was disappointed with the blade length . .
But I had already glued paper to pop-sickle sticks and knew the blade was exaggerated. . .
I loved these until I got my first Italian "Peg-in ...

I have not yet bought a bottle opener K12 . .
( I know it's not a K12 . . but it's closer to a K12 than Aluminum )
these are cool . . . but I . . .can't collect everything. . .
I have probably 10 varients of bottle opener K12. . . .
Here are two . . . . .

Re: When it rains it pours. . K12-AL's abound
I think K12 patterns migrated to India/Pakistan . .
This knife has a decorative handle, and a K12 feel . . . .
but I don't seek to collect it. . . .It seems outside of my scope .
