BTW, "Rostfrei" is German for 'rust-free' and stamped on a blade it generally just means 'stainless steel'. But if you still have the original plastic handles/scales, these days there's also plenty of vids on YouTube showing how to make a simple DIY silicone mold, and cast custom 'replacement parts'...

My first real 'knife' was a birthday present from my brother, a serrated all-stainless Moki lockback, 'Made in Japan'. Dunno what kinda steel, but it's never been sharpened, and as a boater am amazed it still cuts sisal rope and poly line as good as when I first got it over 10 years ago. https://cdn...

Very nice, and even with a handy bottle opener! Love a lotta the 'European' and Russian knives, that are often essentially 'handmade'.
