Re: Custom switchblade

No doubt if he keeps with it his name will be very popular and work in high demand. I'm not on FB regularly but I went back last night and reviewed most of his posts, and work, and remain very impressed. As I commented on one of the posts, we need more guys like him, young bloods who aren't just obs...

Re: Custom switchblade

I've seen Liam's work on the FB groups, and it is impressive. Where's he located, or did you say and I just missed it. Just curious if he's state-side. Seems a proper built blade indeed. The Pakistani guy I mentioned is Muhammad Afaaq. He runs a group there called Afaaq's Switch Blades. The pictures...

Re: Custom switchblade

That's a sweet looker brother! Who made it, I've seen that stamp in one of the FB groups. I was messaging with a guy in Pakistan who's cranking out some pieces that are pretty unique looking, just to see what his prices were like. He said he could do a 9 inch picklock in horn for 230 USD. I was temp...

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

Yeah, through the past few years I've bought a few boxes of Magpul 5.56 mags every now and then. Just in case. I'm waiting for the day when these crazies manage to get mags over 20 or even 10 round capacity banned. Can't trust them to be level-headed in Washington any more. It's all reactive politic...

Re: Latama's New Offerings

Can't help but love that pic brother, and I've never seen a 1911 I didn't like either. Back in the 80s, I used to have a brace of Lt. Commander 1911s with the shorter bull barrels! Well balanced in hand and a bit more concealable, still heavy as lead compared to what you can carry in that caliber th...

Re: 10” Campolin

I'm hunting one myself, so if anyone has one feel free to PM me. It must be the season! Victors, have you tried PM'ing Frosolone, I believe he is the seller and Sammy was just helping answer your question. It's always best to send a PM. Click on Contact under Frosolone's avatar to do so. I'd bet it'...

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

Couple of nice lookers for sure. It's funny, I always have liked wood furniture on such rifles, just looks more sophisticated to me than the tactical black look. Back in the proverbial day, I chased down a set for the HK-91. May or may not have added a bit of weight but it seemed to add a note of cl...

Re: Back burner project

Anyone who may be interested in one of these be aware that they are HEAVY! I'm sure nobody on the forum would carry one of these as an every day carry but you never know. Very heavy, indeed. I picked up one of the 13 inch variety last year and it's easily as heavy as one of my Campolin batwings, ma...

Are those genuine FN-FALs or clones? I always liked their style. A bit like the HK-91, all business and built rock solid!

Peace.

Re: Back burner project

I can't tell you anything about the metal's reaction in regards to coloring but I can say that I like it!

The contrast between the scales and the bolsters as it sits now compliment each other very well. Very cool work brother!

Hey Kris, thanks for the posting. I had never seen one with serrations so I learned a lot here!

Re: Help on id a frank b 11 stiletto

One of the scariest images I've seen of late, indeed. Makes me want to pull out a loupe and start going through all my knives. Seriously, the fact that someone out there would market a knife as such, even when you consider "picklock conversions", and their tool of choice is industrial glue instead o...

Re: Latama's New Offerings

The prices have become steeper, for sure, but then I look around and it seems to be the trend for most things these days. It's all supply and demand too. Less are being offered so if you can't live without it, you skip a meal or two. Myself, heck, I'm losing weight thanks to that logic. So that's my...

Wow, amazing pieces, indeed.

Do not sell them, is my advice, especially the 120 year old Beltrame, that's an heirloom and should be held onto in your family. It's spectacular! Most definitely a museum piece!

Thanks for sharing.

Peace.

Re: Wrapped in Plastic - Stiletto Storage Question...

I also use the desiccant packs. I keep my knives in these plastic sleeves and then populate the drawer with the packets, inside a climate controlled environment. The longest stored with no issue are these two EdgeCo knives I've mentioned before, and that's been 30+ years in the plastic, at least, Th...
