Re: Big collection of USSR prison knife

That’s a very nice collection you have, AnticMen.

Does that smaller knife that you had to open with two hands have a broken spring or was it made without one?

That one silver knife that you couldn’t get to lock open might need a little oil on the mechanism.

Re: "Punisher" OTF mystery knife

Definitely a China knife, but looks like a nicely built one. It’s usually a roll of the dice when it comes to quality on the low end OTFs. Some will last a long time, others will break within a month or two.

Re: Milano definition

I was wondering about this also, I picked up this lookback that is marked MILANO only. I looked through older posts and found this one about a very similar knife and there is some thoughts that the older Rizzy types were made in Italy. Would love to know what you guys think. Here is the older post....

Re: Over oiling a knife

In my experience, every knife I’ve handled seems to respond differently to oiling and different types of oils. I use a variety of oils: Mineral oil, Canola oil, WD40, Rem Oil, 3 in 1, etc. How much of what it is you’re using and where you use it seems to matter. WD40 works best if you’re simply tryi...

Re: Milano definition

It's Italian for Milan. It's been on all Rizzuto Estiletos no matter where they were made. I don't think they were ever made in Italy. Probably originally from Japan. DGRALPH Rizzuto Estileto Milano’s were originally made in Japan. Some of the later models were made in Korea and Taiwan. Most of the...

Those are nice, portlandmike! Thanks for the pic. Yeah, from videos I’ve seen, they don’t seem to have quite the snap that the traditional leaf spring stilettos do.

Frank B Humpback Stiletto

Do any of you happen to have a Frank B humpback stiletto like the one in this video? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2crFQ47sAas I thought this looked interesting. I understand that these kind don’t use a leaf spring but instead use a coil spring. Is it a coil spring that goes around the pivot like on...

Hehe! That’s another discussion altogether!

But anyway, button_man, if you spot any shell puller lever locks for sale anywhere, just give me a heads up.

Shell pullers getting rare?

It’s been a good while since I’ve seen an Italian or German shell puller lever lock turn up on Grindworx, PVK, Sharper Deals or AAPK. Any particular reason for that? Are they making fewer of them now?

Re: Is this AKC legit? Sorry for kicking this dead horse.

Yep, that’s the real deal. It’s mostly the traditional S guard stilettos and Leverlettos that get the China clones when it comes to AKC.

Hi Ivano! I’m a big fan of Italian switchblades and love the work and contributions your family has brought to the world of cutlery. I have a Frank B 11” swinguard with a dagger grind. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my collection. Thanks for the information on the new knives and reason for the ch...
