Re: 60's Humpback/Lockback

I have three humpback manual Stilleto's; a 23cm Inter, a 20cm Alamo and a 14cm Seymour Cutlery.

The Inter and the Alamo both have "Patent 77431" on the back of the tang.

Re: Pastor Aleman

I have Pastor Aleman ("German Shepherd") on the tang of a 9" Rizzuto, with a little dog's head above it. I figured it was a contract knife, sourced from the same Japanese company that sent tons of Rizzuto's through Tijuana. Construction and condition is ten times better than any Rizzuto I've ever ow...

Re: mini Italians

I have a little 7cm stag model I bought for my wife when we were in Florence, Italy in 1987.

I bought a 20cm stag for myself, with "B" stamped on the tang.

Re: Vintage lockbacks -- #1 of 3

Sal- did you know that Angelo Campolin, Sr. held the Italian patent on those? There were also mid lockbacks with leaf springs! I did not know that grandpa Campolin held the Patent thank you for the information Bill, as far as the other mid back locks you’re referring to with leaf springs I just sol...

A Question About Collecting Vintage Switchblades

My mom used to collect Hummel figurines. She had some pretty rare ones, according to Hummel experts, including some from the early 1950s. She used to tell me they were worth at least six grand and when she kicked the bucket, I would get a lot of money for them. Well, she kicked the bucket about five...

Re: Rare vintage "Ring Cutlery - B Svoboda" picklock

Is "Ring Cutlery - B Svoboda" and "B Svoboda" importers the same company? Were these knives made by Angelo Campolin? Thanks for the replies. Info I found elsewhere and saved: B. Svoboda Liberty Organization (Importer?) Montrose, California c1950 until at least 1997 B SVOBODA was a brand name of the...

Re: What got you into Switchblades?

Told my story here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29202&start=15

and said it was West Side Story that got me wanting a switchblade. But it may have been the book "The Outsiders" that I read in the 4th or 5th grade.

At my age, some memories turn to mush.

Re: Trying to Identify 3 Different Stiletto Knives Including a Black Beauty

Not a Rizzuto fan, but yours was made in Japan. This. "Rizzuto" is Italian, "Milano" is a city in Italy (obviously), while "Estileto" is... Spanish. And "Stainless Steel" is, well... fricking English. People used to call them Mexican switchblades because they were sold in Tijuana. But they were man...

Re: unmarked Rizzuto

I finally scored a Rizzy just recently. It cost me a bit, but I’m happy with it and glad I finally got one for my collection! It’s about 8 1/2 inches open, has black handle scales and the swinguards sit well. Blade peaks a little bit, but it opens well and the safety works. Finally having gotten on...
