A very nice idea methinks :) . To make a suggestion though, I think the grip should not have been polyurethane or varnish coated, but rather, oil or wax coated using either something like danish oil or a mixture of 1 part linseed oil to 2 parts bees wax. It would give the grip a more rustic appearan...

Somebody tell me please....is that pattern what they call "Odin's Eye" in the damascus? Whatever it's called, it is beautiful!!! Dick It looks like a standard twist pattern going by my knife steel catalogue pictures of Damasteel patterns. Odins eye is similar but NOT the same (it's prettier). Hope ...

Gotta rely on the police to protect you over here. Not allowed to protect yourself. Try calling the police and telling them you are in the process of being bashed, raped or robbed and they'll tell you to hold the line, while they finish their coffee and donuts or whatever it is that constitutes poli...

Hi dances, I was in the S.C.A and then went over to the N.V.G (new varangian guard), REAL swords and real armour, not sticks and plastic armour, I love ENYTHING to do with the Viking culture and history, my computer room has even more weapons and other stuff lying around, it's not child friendly, t...

Very good stuff!, I quite like axes. No sword can outchop a kukri!. The Nepalese 'Kukuri' is thought to have derived from the Greek 'Kopis' with little change to the shape. I would imagine that this particular sword could out chop a Khukuri! By the way gt, it is an impressive little collecti...

Double edged knives, I believe, are an illegal import into Australia but are not illegal to own (unless of course you live in Victoria). In Victoria you need a valid reason, the only valid reason is AKC membership. Hope this helps. Oh and please be careful what you say to the powers that be, they ca...

Working in security as I do I would recommend a brand called 'Com-Baton'. They are a good and solid, steel construction, come in a variety of sizes and weights to suit most people. Now to the correct closing/release procedure for friction lock batons so as to save undue wear and tear. Obviously if y...

I didn't know that the Welsh developed the longbow, and I apologize to any Welshman that I offended by suggesting that someone in England should use one against a four footed adversary. I think the Welsh people could use a public relations firm when it comes to certain things, I've heard of the Eng...

Geez, I didn't know what I started when I jokingly used the word Pom and Pommie. For those that don't know it is the same as the American (Yank or Septic Tank or Seppo for short) term, Limey ( I think Limey sounds more offensive! ). Of coarse I apologise to any of those who choose the state of mind ...

A few years ago there was one occasion when we had to make a trip to the ER to patch up her finger after an onion cutting incident!! Since I hate to cook I have not been involv...

I'm almost embarassed giving an Englishman advice on how to rid his henhouse of a fox, how about a longbow? The English have a long tradition of excellence with this implement, I think that a bow or crossbow would do the trick, good luck sir! I'm offended  , The bloody Poms had no idea about...
