Re: Hair Trigger
Thanks Stagnut I'm still learning autoknife nomenclature. Jim, the knife is currently in AIK's hands so I can't offer any pictures unfortunately. Also, when Adams re-scales these fishtails they quite often remove the safety for a 'clean look'. I was assured by them that they would fix the problem so...

LOL
I had a great aunt 90+ years old that lived in the back bay Boston; one day she called my Dad from New York city; she got on the wrong bus.

Re: Cold Steel Master Tanto San Mai
Nice tanto Hombre.
I've had a Boker Magnum auto tanto since '95 with a Taiwanese blade.
Very good quality blade that I used a lot when I was house painting; there's nothing handier than a good auto when you're 30 feet up a ladder with only one hand free.

Being 74 myself I'm quite familiar with those duh moments. I do take pride in that I have yet to get in the car, pull out of the driveway and not remember where I intended to go.

Re: Hair Trigger
I think sending the knife back to AIK is the way to go for me.

Re: Hair Trigger
Hi Bill,
Blade is not side to side loose. Being an AIK customized knife it looks like tiny hex screws holding the scales on.
This is the knife in question.

Re: Hair Trigger
No gunk in the hole. I cleaned it with a dental pick, still hair trigger. I'm thinking of trying to drill the hole a bit deeper; on closer examination I see that the end of the pin is cut at an angle. Is this normal?

Hair Trigger
I have an AIK customized fishtail with no safety. Aside from needing a popsicle stick to release the picklock because the tab is so small; the damned thing has a hair trigger; if you so much as look at it it fires.
Any relief to be had for this problem?

You're welcome Jackalope!
If you decide to roll your own then Buffalo Arms would be the place to look for cases, lead etc. They are primarily BP oriented.
Be forewarned the shortage of pistol primers and powder are ridiculous at this time and price gouging on Gunbroker is positively insane.
