QG ~~ I am honored to have a knife worthy of inclusion
in your fine reference guide!

(I once made a similar offer regarding the 'Marca Oro' to someone planning to publish a book on switchblades.
To my great surprise, it was declined. If "the only one known to exist" doesn't make the cut ...

Bill ~~ I'd like to send in the two lever knives and have you take a look.... maybe the little silver knife too if you think it can be taken apart for repairs.... are you currently accepting repair jobs?

QG ~~ nobody is more surprised than myself at all ...

When looking for a blade for the shellpuller, can I just
go by length? What other blade specs come into play?

I'm wondering if there are considerations that might be difficult for a layman to evaluate..... dimensions of the ricasso; amount of curve drop per centimeter from level spine to tip ...

Re: (4) broken vintage knives

Thanks Bill -- I was thinking it might be either French or Japanese (because I've only seen the bail on Japanese knives)..... it's quite different from any German or Italian knife that I've seen. It's also the largest European lever-operated piece I've ever seen!

Am I correct in thinking this ...

Just bought these minutes ago at the flea.

Large lever knife only marked 'INOX'.
Could open it by depressing lever and
gently pulling on blade spine with pliers.
I am particularly interested in learning more
about this knife..... not sure I've seen one before.

Shellpuller marked "spring ...

Great find! I'm always interested in what kind of deals
can be found at yard sales, flea markets, etc -- and I figure others might also be interested, so I almost always put my mouth where my money is, and tell everyone here what I paid. Virtually nobody else does it, which I find puzzling.
I ...

As for the 'O' on the reverse, possibly part of 'INOX' with
the other letters lightly struck and/or worn away....?

I almost didn't create this thread.... I said to myself "everyone knows what a Rizzuto looks like... why bother".
But I never would have known about your great guide to Rizzuto variations; so I'm glad we had this conversation!

If you think my guardless green micro-Rizz merits a place in your ...

Two fifty! (I was thinking maybe half of that!) Yowser!

That's a fabulous guide to Rizzies! Terrific work!
--and a real eye-opener..... I had no idea.....!

Take a gander at knife #3 in this post from 2021....
it doesn't have the actual word 'Rizzuto' on it.... but gee,
it looks like a ...

Re: Mini Rizzy from the flea

Thanks QG !
The sear is indeed round; and the spring appears to be round wire stock. Other than a couple of test openings when I bought it, I haven't put any stress on the piece at all -- I've opened / closed it a few times for measuring, examining, etc with fingers providing slow steady pressure ...

Thanks to everyone for the kind words..... can anyone say whether the flat button indicates Korea as the source rather than Japan?

An absolutely gorgeous knife but my stars! ---what are you supposed to do, hit the release button with your ring finger! That has to be the lowest-set button I've ever seen! :o

Nothing spectacular, but a couple interesting designs.... and only $25 for all three, so what the heck.

First, an ordinary Morakniv for the tackle box. This is
the only one with an original sheath and it's a decent workhorse knife at a really low price.

Next is a funky tanto made from a file ...

Got 3 spring-knives this morning.... one is a dorky EdgeCo ring-pull that I only took because I bought (3) fixed-blade knives and he threw this one in for free. Apparently it got left behind in the car.... I'll add a photo when I find it.

The 2nd is (I believe) a Chinese knock-off of a ...
