Re: What else do you collect?

Hi. I also have collected all kinds of animal traps, mouse traps, steel traps, vintage and new. Got my first trap in 1965. Thanks for asking.

Re: Samurai sword / 19th century handle

I did, but the carbon paper I used did not have much luck. I was using a kit my Dad got back in 1976. I'll try again soon. Thanks'

Samurai sword / 19th century handle

Thought I'd put up a couple of photos of a Samurai sword that my uncle brought back from WW2. Was never able to pull up the info under the handle but was told the handle dates back to the 1860's and there was some German influence. I am not very educated concerning Samurai swords. Automatic knives a...

Prize of my collection

My first time trying to post photos. Purchased this stiletto at a show between 1995 and 2005 to the best of my memory. I don't 'specialize' in any particular kinds of switchblades but I believe the B stamp means Frank Beltrane? I like them all. Have never seen another one for sale like this one?Image

Re: My new toy

Is the groove on the blade ,like a manual, in case the spring breaks so it will still function? I have one too.

rebel without a cause

Any idea what type-manufacture,etc, that the switchblades in the movie rebel without a cause were? This was one of the early movies, like the Magnificent Seven that got me hooked on collecting.

Re: Does Florida have knife shows

Here in North Florida, Tallahassee, we have gun-knife shows but the emphasis is usually on guns. I don't go to many because the knife vendors seemed to be less and less. I believe they have started calling them gun shows even though there are knife vendors. Gator Club sounds interesting. If you do c...

Switchblades of the 1940's, 1950's

Have been reading a lot of police novels set in the 1940's-1950's. So many of the characters, Mexican gangsters, Chinese Tong, law enforcement, etc. etc. carry switchblades. I was wondering what the switchblade of choice would be? Italian, American etc. ? Also, my mother grew up in that era and woul...
