incessant,
I am a machinist. I just thought if I didn't have to make a jig, It might be worth making.
I was really surprised by the scarab clone.

Incessant,
What did you do with the lightning. If you want to part with it I'll send shipping.
Sorry about the Concord. I would take it apart and look at it. How tight is the blade? Does it compare to the lightning?

I have a microtech. It is a nice knife. BUT, for the $20 that I payed STU, it is closer in quality than price to the scarab. I'll stick to the lightning.

Got a lightning from STU. Really WAY better than I expected. Great price. The blade really slams in and out. Almost razor sharp, as received. The thing that really strikes me is that this knife is so inexpensive. Microtech must be making a killing. Does anybody here know about adding the three set s...

I just received one of the FB's from STU. Beautifull, but way loose. I took mine apart. I am going to make a new pin and put phosfur bronze bushings in it. I hope it works out.

Hi,
I don't want anybody getting the wrong idea. The most that my carry knives get is to cut an apple or carrots for lunch at work. You would be surprised at how fast that will dull a blade. I NEVER pry with my knives.

Bill,
Thanks for clarifying that for me. The only reason that I tried an Italian was because your name was on it. Now I want more!

Thanks for all the replies. I really want to know if you guys think that it is a quality steel? I have always shied away from Italians because of the cheap imitations that I had as a teenager. I have some German made knives and a Mikov, but they advertised them as 420. I have recently bought an AKC ...

FB website says they use W.1. 4034 stainless. How does this compare to 420, 420HC, 440C?
Thanks Guys,

Missing stag button

Hi,
I have a couple of vintage stag handled knives. They are missing the nickle/silver buttons on the end of the stag.
Does anybody know where I can find these or have them made?
Thanks,
Mike
