Re: Here are those knives from that auction that were all unique.

There were never German (or any other!) "paratrooper" knives like that. Thank you for the info! I don't know squat about true military/war era knives other than what is in the movies (mostly incorrect also).... they really never appealed to me, so I figured I wouldn't really study up on them. I'm g...

Re: Here are those knives from that auction that were all unique.

I do agree, they are all unique. If anyone wants more pictures of a specific knife, I will gladly take some when I'm back in town. Oh, side note, the brass paratrooper knife is all covered nazi bullcrap, don't know if its original, or a repro.
I rushed the pics on these... lol

Here are those knives from that auction that were all unique.

You know... the one where I accidentally bid 7500 instead of 75.00. I was curious about a couple, and you can't satisfy curiousity through a picture... The green one is interesting, it's some sort of chinese military style knife. The blade retracts into the handle via the bar on the top of the sheat...

Re: Sooo, has anyone else done this?!

I really did want the lot... there were a couple knives that intrigued me... Of course, the only way to quell my curiosity was to get it... It also never even occured to me to request a bid cancellation...haha. I've had all those remorses, mostly when I buy something "important" (new clothes, car re...

Re: Sooo, has anyone else done this?!

Luckily, the total came out to be 257.53... I had a balance in paypal of 257.90... I don't think I will be anywhere near ebay before I've been awake for a few hours... man I really hope this lot is worth it... I need to restock on my pocket knives to resell... really don't want to start selling my a...

Sooo, has anyone else done this?!

So you wake up, just start the coffee, hear a ding... uh oh, you've been outbid... not on my watch... pick up the phone, tap the notification... completely oblivious to the fact you aren't on the website, but the horrible ebay app... go to raise your bid... yes, $75.00... start to type... 75.00 conf...

A few of my learned lessons... be gentle, be patient, and read any post that is associated with peening. Also check out Bill's website and find his knife101 forum link, then read those. After all of that, practice with pinning and peening on something other than the final product (learned the hard w...
