Re: Russian Beauty
Yeah it very well might be him but for now that's ok. I'm a sucker for a swinguard and I like the design so what the hell. Hopefully I'll see soon I'm past the point of being impatient, lol.

Re: Russian Beauty
This one was posted by a eBay vendor who also has vintage clocks, watches and high dollar figurines. Probably does estate sales. That's ok, it not being their usual product line and from the Ukraine I'm thinking it's not just a piece of junk. We'll see soon i hope.

Re: My Latest AK-47 build
I'm using plans from a Russian book and I don't read Russian. It'll solve a lot of questions. I'll be glad to pass it on.

Re: My Latest AK-47 build
Maybe I need to post the schematics, there's a thru pin in a slot midway of the pull bar that not only holds the whole spring/pull bar assembly in place, it puts pressure downward. As far as why such a fancy "pry bar"... It's a gag gift for a friend who lost their pointer finger pulling someone from...

Hello skirmish, that's pretty close. A picture's the best way to describe it. It's a time and pain saver

My Latest AK-47 build
Hello everyone, this is my second attempt at building an AK-47 Soviet prison knife. Liners, bolsters and other assorted parts are copper. Blade is from a purchased Damascus bar. Anyone care to guess what the contraption with the skull insets for? 🗡

Re: Could we see your fulcrum knives
Hello everyone, I'm interested in the mechanics of the fulcrum knife. If anyone can point me to some kind of sketch or drawing of some kind I would be grateful. Thanks in advance

Re: Russian Beauty
Lol, that's where I bought it. I paid just under $100 and if it's authentic (certainly looks like it is) I'm happy with that. I'm a fanatic for swinguards anyway but it being a Russian Prison knife is the icing on the cake. That's assuming it shows up.

Re: Chain drive curiosity
Hello everyone, thanks for your responses. I did get a little info by looking at the YouTube video showing the assembly instructions. It really looks simple. Most of the work is making the liners and the sprocket on the blade. Looks like if you do it right you could omit the blade sprocket altogethe...

Re: Chain drive curiosity
Hello John, thanks for your response. I took a look at the post and it's got more info than I've seen so far. Some how I gotta see the inside and understand how it actually works. I'm struggling with spending that much money just to satisfy my curiosity but sooner or later I guess I'm gonna have to ...

Chain drive curiosity
Hello everyone, hoping everyone is well. I recently saw an add for a chain drive knife that fascinated me. I would love to know how the system works. If anyone has any ideas or information and are willing to share it I would appreciate it so much. I've been a mechanic all my life and have some guess...
