Re: Re: Repair Markings
I have collected firearms for quite a few decades and all of the ethical craftsmen who restore collectible firearms take on a restoration with the conditions stated before the work is done. They clearly state that they will discretely mark the restored firearm. If the customer objects to the identif...

Re: Repair Markings
There IS something to be learned here. Most usually an ethical restorer of valuable antique and collectible guns (Lugers, Colts, etc.) will mark the restored firearm with three dots to indicate that the firearm has been restored and is not in pristine, original condition. This is commonly understood...

Re: Trump commemorative leverlock
You know, a big Trump supporter, such as myself, might snag one of these knives before the Progressives outlaw it.

Re: My 1st Swing Guard
I received my new F Beltrame 28cm Swingguard, bayonet blade, faux ivory handle. There are several things I love about this knife: the profile and width of the blade, the girth of the handle, and the quickness of the opening action. Overall, this is a nice knife. I am going to have to learn to cultiv...

My 1st Swing Guard
This may be old hat to you fellows, but I just ordered my first F Beltrame Swing Guard, 28cm, bayonet blade, faux Ivory handle. I have been reluctant because I fear that with so many moving parts, and fit that I will not be happy with how the guard aligns and possible rattle (if any). In a week or s...

Re: Best quality traditional Italian switchblade?
I am fairly new to switchblades and have purchased 8 Italian stiletto 11" bayonet blade knives online in the last 6 months. It appears to me that the Italian knives are handmade knives (not mass produced). I examine each of my knives quite closely and find that each knife is going to vary from anoth...

Re: Black acrylic 11" Frank B acquisitions
Thanks for all of the input on this thread. I am tickled to death with these two knives. In the past 6 months I have acquired eight Italian 11" bayonet switchblades and they are all fine weapons. (2 Renzo Beltrame, 2 AGA Campolin, and 4 Frank Beltrame) I am toying with the idea of purchasing a knife...

Re: Black acrylic 11" Frank B acquisitions
The next to the last picture shows the main spring and the lockplate. The separation is evident on both sides of the spring. The bottom picture shows the main spring and the lockplate. The separation is evident on one right side of the spring and only half-way down on the left side of the spring. It...

Re: Black acrylic 11" Frank B acquisitions
Here are a few pictures of my new 28cm Frank B bayonet black acrylic switchblades. I have a technical question: Why is one lockplate release a separate piece from the main spring on one knife and the other knife has part of the lockplate release as intregal with the main spring? (I do not know the p...

Black acrylic 11" Frank B acquisitions
I was leery of purchasing another switchblade from knifeshop.com, but they offer a 28cm Frank Beltrame bayonet blade black acrylic handle. My first purchase from them did not set well with me, but I figured "What the hell, it's only money." So I pulled the trigger and ordered the knife. Two days aft...

Re: Need Custom Re-scale
I have taken a couple of pictures of the knife after it has been re-scaled by JimBrown257 (Jeremy Kreis). I am very happy with the results of the re-scale. Jeremy also lined the bolsters on the top. This has really added a supreme touch to the bolsters. I wish that the pictures were professional qua...
