Re: Really cool Crane knife. Need help with ID.
Thanks. I found a picture of a brass one by Massaro It was real horn but again the bolster lines are different. Basically just single cut embellishments yet mine has intricate 2 line cuts. Also haven't seen any brass cranes. Thanks again.

Re: Really cool Crane knife. Need help with ID.
Thanks ! The bolsters are definitely different and the pin locations are different. I have seen the lever locks that have the metal showing through the scales Anyways I'd be happy if it was a Massaro.

Really cool Crane knife. Need help with ID.
Hello. This one is for you experts. Bill , I wrote I would post a cool knife I purchased. All I really know is one side is marked Rostfrei and the other 2 cranes. Nothing else. The one book I have on knife collecting in general says that a just Crane stamp is a Crane Cutlery Co. New York associate w...

Re: Can someone help identify this “Stiletto”
Thank you for all the good info especially the story on how the word was put on the blade. I also thought it made it suspicious as many lower end knives have similar styling on the blade. I'm relieved it's an AB. Even run of the mill , I paid 45 bucks for it and I'm very happy. Thanks again Bill.

Wow. Didn't know Asians did work like this. Maybe Japanese ? Or are we talking straight China ? Never seen this quality out of China.

Re: Can someone help identify this “Stiletto”
That’s what I thought when I saw the Stiletto. I did see Milano is a dead give away and have seen good manufactures laser blades .It’s brass lined , no pins through , tight , tighter then any AB I own. I’m stumped. Wish I knew the bottom stamp which cannot be read at all just a taint bottom portion ...

Can someone help identify this “Stiletto”
Hello , just purchased this. Says Italy Stainless and something so lightly stamped underneath I can’t make it out with a 10x loop. Blade looks to be lasered with the word “Stiletto”. Brass lined. Fires hard sits perfectly in the middle when closed and locks up very tight. Seems to be very well made ...

Re: scarce tang stamp
I see a skip where an engraving tool moved crudely through the first "I" into the "N" and then the "O". In this photo , the "N" looks to have different depths which can be done by the tool setter being terribly sloppy in set, pedal issues , or the shittiest dies known to man or a combo of that. Yet ,...

Re: scarce tang stamp
Except according to FB , this was a special run from what the poster said and specifically added this Italian word for stainless. I guess you didn't look closely to the picture above nor mine to determine that they didn't engrave. I'll contact FB myself. I am no knife expert but worked in aircraft t...

Re: scarce tang stamp
Sorry. Hate to bring up the dead post but I just came across the same engraving on the tang. I can not find one reference to this knife except this original thread. I can tell it’s italian ( brass lined , pins are right. ) It’s not a stamped marking but if you look at the picture on the original pos...
