Re: $1500 for something sharp, stabby and clicky.
I think I'd go for a custom, but from whom I'd have to weight the options. It would be an 11" picklock with real white mop. Or maybe I'd try and track down an old coricama/latama 11" in preemo condition. Just the thought of having $1500 to spend any way I want is too much for my wee brain to compreh...

Re: A few eclectic pieces from Gort’s collection
I like the little OTF next to the black finger. It looks like an old italian style otf? Wouldn't mind having one like it.
We all had to start with one or 2 knives, soon you'll be looking for a nice curio cabinet. It's a nice start!

Re: 2008 VOTE
I'll vote for Ron Paul no matter what party his runs on. I don't agree with him on eveything [by any means] but I NEVER agree with anyone on everything  I would tend to be leaning in that direction myself (RP). He leads here in WI. as far as Rep. go. I also agree that the line between the 2 m...

Re: My Burn Toothpick
That toothpick is awesome! Excellent job on the filework too.How much larger is it than a Fixed Guard Hammer/Imperial? It's approx. 9" OAL and had to be quite a bit wider, and thicker to have things fit proper. She has some heft to her for sure! Thanks for the props, it's a toothpick on steroids, 2...

Re: 2008 VOTE
Man I don't know who to vote for this time around! I don't have anything against a woman pres. but I can't vote for Hil. she just screams to damn much. It's like having my Mom yelling at me (shutter)... And I don't really have a problem with health care for all, but all should be contributing, and t...

My Burn Toothpick
Here's just a few picks of the toothpick I had Paul build for me last year. It is a liner lock, blue titanium liners, Ivory scales, blue pau shell inlayed fire button, vine file work..even inside the channel, liners file worked too. An awesome deep hollow ground blade, and a short throw safety, all ...

Re: Our History as Collectors
For me it was the late 60's when my friend showed me this book "Run baby Run". In it, Nicky described a situation where he was being harassed by some kids outside school and he knocked the switchblade out of the one kids hand and scooped it up. He described in detail how it felt in his hand and how ...

Re: Frank B
I offer no apology as I never bad mouthed any one and much like jim d was only intersted in collecting sb's. I did however sit back and watch to see if the fabled tales of the next most inovated swinguard that was to sweep the knife collecting community ever materialized. It never did. I was never t...

I can't believe he would stoop this low! I didn't think anyone could be this repulsive! I work in a sex offender (prison) treatment center and some of them have more redeeming qualities than this turd. I'm not talking about their crimes but rather their personalities and integrity. And it's pretty b...

Re: Switchblade ownership illegal in Pennsylvania?
What gets me is the law in Wis. is so broad with regard to switchblade ownership/buying/selling that to read it would make one believe that anything is considered an offensive weapon. And I believe it was written just for that purpose. Much like carrying an unconcealed, unloaded, holstered side arm,...

Hey Vagrant, Nice looking pooch! I take it by the array of boomsticks hangin on the wall in your pic, as well as your avatar, you're into fine shootin irons as well as edged weapons!!! I was wondering what piece that is your a shootin in your avatar? I like firearms as well and have been into the bl...
