Size matters
Good morning all, Thank you so much for the feedback on my previous query over the past week or so. I have yet another intriguing question - why did flick knife manufacturers back in the day make so many different sizes from short sword lenght to minute? I can understand smallest size being a novelt...

Re: No Respect for Stilettos
Respect is a vintage stiletto with flush scales and bolsters made of good quality materials with a spring that has survived all abuse over the years.

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Greetings, Lance. Thank you for the warm welcome. haha! I already feel this obsession and sickness sinking in. I am excited what you tell me, but I have no desire to sell this knife. Even being small makes it more desirable to me. Just curios why it is so small. That is a very nice FBR photograph. T...

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Thank you, JimBrown257. Seems to me many different manufacturers made flick knives back in the day.

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Thank you, JimBrown257. I initially thought of Frank Beltrame, but he is a more of a "modern" flick knife maker.
Do you perhaps have dates these FBRs were in production?

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Good morning all,
I have decided to keep this flick knife. Seems it very rare as no one has ever heard of FBR.
Plus the small size is great. Just need to put an edge on this INOX blade and try to make sharp.

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Thank you, JulesVane. I have managed to upload a collage of my flick knife. Granted, not the best quality, but best I can do for now. Photograph is further up on this thread.

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
I shall merely sharpen and not molest in any way, TRYKER. Thank you for telling me, but where can I find out more on FBR?

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Good news is that this flick knife is growing on me and the more people I ask, the more agree size is good as it is easily concealed with full look and functionality of a bigger flick knife. Thank you for the clarity of soft steel used, Luke_of_Mass. I do want it sharper, even if not razor. Currentl...

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
It is not too bad a knife, but does not excite me the way I had hoped. Photographs made the scales look darker and overall larger. I will see if I can sharpen blade to see if it can hold. If not, free to a good home!

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
Unfortunately, I cannot upload photographs of my new flick knife. Website keeps on telling me attachment(s) too large. Having received this flick knife only yesterday morning, let me just say it is extremely small. Almost six inches long with blade open. Blade does not appear to be stainless steel a...

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
A "Switchblade" to me is what most other countries refer to as a "otf/Out The Front". Different strokes for different folks.
