Gosh that is a nice. The wood scales will probably fare better with age than Buffalo typical horn. Excellent.

Do you remember the Real Large Italian with Painted Wood Scales. I had never seen or imagined they made then in that size.

Re: Truckstop Switchblade Collection Display
Thanks for the replies. The place in Va. isn't it. That display is mostly guns. The Truck Stop we went to was just switchblades and almost all Italian style. I remember a very large Italian, maybe 18" closed. It had black painted wood handles. The earth probably didn't make horn that large. My Dad w...

Truckstop Switchblade Collection Display
When I was younger and we were moving to Texas(1979 of so), somewhere on the trip from New York to Texas we stopped at a Truck Stop that had a large display of various switchblades. The knives were in glass cases on the wall. Does anyone here remember this collection and where is it today? I was too...

Re: Fallschirmjaeger Gravity Knife
I've never seen any customized. The wood scales lend themselves to being carved. That would be neat. When I started collecting I probably passed on stuff like that as they weren't "as issued". They are the ones with the most character.

Yup, would go to the MAX Show every year. Started with Daggers and Bayonets. Moved to helmets and Belt Buckles. Have everything I ever purchased for investment purposes.

Re: 8" Made in Italy Pick Lock
Hello, Thanks for the info on the knife. Rehab going well. I'm at the 6 week mark. I got this 8" manual in a knife lot recently and it is marked "Made Italy 6". The Font looks to be the same as the Mauro Mario picklock I posted here. Is this a manual lock back with false button by the Mauro Mario? T...

Bullfighter: Needs Repair; $40 shipped
4 1/8" closed with a 3 1/8" blade. Blade is not sharp, probably never sharpened. Missing the scale on the front side. Opens and closes well. Lockup when open has play. Either replace the missing scale if you have one or rescale in a better material. $40 shipped for states only. Pay pal is best for m...

Go with the Mikov. It's more durable knife and just a better made. You can get several blade types compared to the others.
