Re: Blade 2022

I hardly think it's necessary/appropriate to drag politics into this, but in any case whenever people throw stuff like that around they ought to cite sources out of respect for whomever may call the place home... Source: 11 Alive local news. I live near Atlanta. Is that better? APA format with a re...

Either way an extra $100+ saved per day could be another knife and, well, you know how ...

Re: Blade 2022

At those rates it might make more sense to get an airbnb. I found one that was for an entire 2 bedroom apartment nearby in the buckhead area for like $85/night and me and 2 friends had reservations there for the 2020 blade show weekend, luckily AirBnB has a pretty generous cancellation policy... Spi...

Re: Maniago shops

Interesting. I did know Rick but was totally unaware of the attempt at having a memorial knife done for him. I used to talk to Sara quite often and of course met her when I was there. She did seem very suspicious of a lot of people for reasons that I never understood... I have known Sara since mid-...

Re: 33 cm latama kriss

Cool! I've got one with the patent stamp, but it appears to be a different actual stamp (smaller font, tighter kerning): viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26184&hilit=latama+%2F+patent

Re: 33 cm latama kriss

Does it have the Patent stamp on the back? I've been told that all kriss Latamas had it, but that could be misinformation

Re: Maniago shops

Ivano, Everyone has very high respect for the work you and your father do - most would agree it's among the finest of modern productions and that's why we all want to buy your work. What many people would like to do is make custom orders with you, and when they try they are sometimes met with not th...

Re: Maniago shops

Sara's interaction with Barb was indeed pretty crass and I've had pretty hit-miss dealings with her also. It's pretty obvious that many of the habitual laissez-faire business practices folks in Maniago make part of their routine wouldn't allow them to last very long in the USA. In some ways it's to ...

plot twist: I'm about to launch INOX, INC. and trademark the word and thus claim every knife with only this marking.

Look up DMT Diamond Stones - I used to use them back in the day when I was a ski coach sharpening the edges on skis, in recent years I've been using them to sharpen the few Victorinox I carry and they work like a charm just make sure to keep 'em wet when you use them! i used to work across the stre...

Re: Honey Horn vs. French Tip?

I just picked up my first example of the new design of standard stiletto with the oval hole, which I admit is growing on me, if only a little. Figured I'd share it as I believe the scales are relevant here, although 3knives called it "French Bovine Horn" - I <think> its criteria fits with French Ti...

Re: $$$ DROP >> New Walt's 11" Swinguard Honey Blonde Half Grind Stiletto

I hope you're right - perhaps the logic is that if they wait long enough, the demand will be so high that slow-moving picklocks batswingers etc will get snapped up faster than normal (no pun intended)
