I have a few AKC extremes although not Italian designed they are really nice. As always, if I bought them now they are $20 cheaper than when I bought them. More of a so called tactical design.

If it were me I'd use some low low grit sandpaper on it first and then buff it. Might be the wrong thing to do but I would think a lot of buffing might make it to hot. Just a thought.

The specs claim the scales are EBONY?! Hah! No.
Ebony is extremely expensive. If pressed, the manufacturer would probably claim "that's just descriptive of the color".
The scales are either a cheap wood that's been stained
a darker color, or some synthetic substance.
