Re: My daggers
TMD
I believe it is an Egyptian commando dagger ,probably from the 60s or 70s but I cant find much about it .
It came complete with bloody sheath and is quite wide for a combat knife ,more like a spear tip .than a dagger .
Heres some better images of it .

Re: tang stamp "6"
porkchop I have also pondered over the number stamps on italians . I have a knife marked 2 ,seen a stag stamped 4 and now your examples are marked 6. I wondered if it was a mark to denote scale material for a particular knife . Are your scales materials the same on your two examples ? Can you post a...

Re: Switchblade Identification help INOX
LaneLander Hope I have understood this correctly ,apologies if not . If the knife just fires open without pressing the button ,the sear pin could be badly worn and not fitting the hole properly . However it could be a few things ,rocker assembly moved or twisted ,dirt in the blade hole where the pin...

Re: Switchblade Identification help INOX
Very nice knife LaneLander 8) The blade could do with a bit of shaping and touching up carefully ,and the horn scales would polish up very well ,but that is owners choice . .Some people leave them be .My picklock example needed some blade work ,and the top scale had been pryed off when I got it ,the...

Re: Switchblade Identification help INOX
LaneLander I cant help with a specific maker as they are usually stamped ,Latama Edwin Jay etc but I think this knife was made in" Maniago "Italy by the cottage industry that thrived there . However that Patent number could help pin it down a bit more to someone who has a better knowledge on these V...
