As for your qustion on American paratooper knives in ww2 I believe they used Prestos .
Dont know for sure if they were issued or private purchased ,but I would love one anyway .

Saw this old bad boy in Auction and thought I would share it here. It wasn't just the knife but also the beaded buffalo hide sheath that popped out to me aswell. Luke I dont think they would have me ,I havn't always been good in my youth.

I see Luke .So no good for bushcraft my mistake . Still its a looker and maybe a good skinner.. I like scandi grinds they usually do away with that problem ,good for batoning and easy to sharpen .
