thanx, im happy with that quality of steel, but the price is a bit high, i was looking at getting myself a fishing knife and noticed the lack of nicely finished filleting style blades, most have a very utilitarian plastic/rubberised handle which is practical, but a nice piece of our NZ native hardwo...

looking for fishing knife blanks

not after incredible quality, just reasonable stainless steel.
filleting and boning styles preferred.

just hoping somebody might be able to point me in the right direction, ive been searching google with varied results, im in new zealand so shipping is very much an issue.

cheers guys, im just about to go take photos of the knives currently in my possession, so i can post them up here.
then im gunna think about places i can get old saw blades... for my toy balisword, having a few teething troubles with it, mainly due to lack of materials and tools

heh, im starting to see how out of my depth i am here, i guess it was misleading when i said ive messed around making fixed blades, all ive done is trim/sharpen saw blades and put new handles on old blades... furthermore while ive always had folding knives i dont know stuff all about them, and hones...
