Re: Swordcanes
Not quite a sword cane but rather a couple of riding crops(supposedly for camels)a friend of mine who was in the Merchant Marine picked up in Egypt about 40 years ago.Handles are some type of stone carved in the image of Nefertiti.Probably tourist items as the details aren't particularly good.Unique...

WTB:Sheath for a Puma Frogmesser......
Have been looking for a number of years for a correct sheath for a Puma Frogmesser(diver's knife). They came in different colors but that doesn't concern me. I am uploading a picture of what one looks like(not my knife in picture). There is a special latching mechanism on the top edge of the sheath th...

Re: Vintage German WWII fantasy switchblade
Reminds me of the "German" pantograph knives (that were an English product if I recall correctly)that were supposedly aged in"brine"(or urine)complete with fake Eichorn marks and RZM numbers.I think the company also made Wells Fargo Bowires and belt buckles.

Re: A few of mine............
Thanks for all the kind words. I actually got my first automatic(a Colonial fishtail with green scales)when I was in the 7th grade(1955)and promptly broke the spring while playing incessantly with it. Attempted(unsuccessfully) to repair it using a large hairpin I purloined from my grandmother.Got my...

Re: Never sell knives?
Interesting subject. I have three knives in my accumulation(collection is not an apropos term here)that will be passed on to my son and grandson. The first is a 4 blade Kamp King that belonged to my grandfather(who raised me)and gave me my first serious cut when I was trying to open it(without his p...

Re: Catalan knife,Age?
All nice knives posted here. This one I acquired many years ago from a friend. No markings and it looks a little crude with the brass bolsters.Scales are horn and the blade release is a folding rocker on the top.Comments welcomed as to age and country of origin.

Re: Origin of the Kris switchblade
Interesting bunch of knives here! I own a fair number of auto knives but only one kris blade(I have several Kissing Crane non autos);and it has sheep horn scales.Got it from a friend of mine many years ago whose brother acquired it while stationed in Germany.
