Re: Rizzuto Replacement Kick Spring
Yeah I noticed the bent liners and back spring. I'm cutting new ones and straightening the back spring. I'll take your advice and keep the spring. I'll post pics in a few weeks when it's finished. Thanks, Bill.

Rizzuto Replacement Kick Spring
Does anyone have a link for a suitable replacement spring for an 11" Rizzuto? Appears to be the sex pin type. Mine spring isn't broken but seems a bit weak. Since I'm restoring the knife and cutting new liners and such I figured I'd replace it as well. Would I be better to tweak it outboard a bit? S...

Re: The nastiness of switchblades?
I got arrested in '02, the only time I've been to jail before or since, for having a 9" AKC Stiletto in my back pocket. The cop flipped open after he cuffed me, then couldn't close it and asked me how to do it. Class A misdemeanor at the time. Right out front of my house. I bet it disappeared from t...

Re: POLL: Switchblade vs Balisong
Switchblades are my first love, but a good Balisong is a bit more reliable but only in the hands of the trained operator. The Bali doesn't have a spring or button that could possibly fail. As far as which is faster- that is totally subjective. I've seen plenty of Bali boys that can open that thing a...

Re: Buddy Holly
I don't know about Buddy, but I know Elvis was known to carry one. I saw a picture once of Elvis holding a black Rizzuto.

Re: Italian Shell Puller
Great knife! Shell-pullers are my all time favorite switchblade. One day I will have a Hubertus or hopefully Springer in my collection. Did you find it online?

Re: Leverletto trademark
I like the look and feel of a Leverletto more than a Stiletto. Thanks, Bill for all you contribute to the world of switchblades!

Re: The nastiness of switchblades?
In the Switchblade vs Balisong poll it was established that these knives are not nastier than any other knife, that it is all about image. However switchblades are probably considered a bit insidious though since they can be pulled from a pocket with great surprise. That's the difference to other k...

Re: Movie Switchblades
Rizzuto's ruled the 80's, the original Japanese ones and the Korean clones. I have two Rizzuto's in my collection- a small white one (6" I think) and the middle size black one (8"?). I picked up a small Korean one 20 years ago but it was not the quality of the original, it didn't last long and had 0...
