Re: FRANK BELTRAME does not offer refund or replacement

I guess to be fair, these items are shipped in good faith and we all know the risks. I've had to wear several instances of items ending up in the wrong hands; it's just the way it is. I've heard of instances where Suppliers have been generous enough to reship and I've had a Supplier reship and offer...

Tasmanian Tiger Spotted - Well, Striped actually..

Hi folks! Been a bit busy of late but I thought I might drop in and give all a peek at my latest effort. I call these my 'Tassie Tiger' Stilettos; 9'' all the usual Specs and this Unique Tasmanian Striped Blackwood. Its hard as Hell and very dense and as you can see, highly figured. They are moving ...

Re: Any reason to avoid f beltrame stilettos?

Depends what you want; a $75 knife is not going to be as well made or even made of materials as good as a $250 Knife. Frank makes Knives of different Standards and Price brackets. His $75 ones are ok, his $140 ones are better. I don't mind his Swingers, even though the Bolsters are pressed. Personal...

Re: D Stamped Liners

An email to Angelo is also a damn good idea Bernie! Only trouble is, I laid out a lot of dough on the last batch which Her Majesty ended up with a Royal share of. I'm now playing catch up and making copies of the missing bits. When the coffers are replenished I'll be looking into doing just that... ...

Re: D Stamped Liners

Thanks Bill; I hadn't thought of Pinned or maybe Soldered Brackets; good tip. I guess the Italians had a Hand Stamp like a Hole Punch kind of thing they used; the little workshops in Italy would have been very hands on; you need a tool, you make a tool. Wonder what Renzo uses........... Hi Guys!! Ye...

D Stamped Liners

Hi Bill, I'm making new Liners/Scales/Trigger and Bolsters for an 11'' Renzo P Frosolone. I have a set to copy.

I'm wondering if you have a method of D Stamping Liners or at least making the semi-circular cuts ?

I would like to make them as close as possible to the originals........

Re: Outlaw 13" Italian Stiletto

Good to get away from all the rucus on the sister thread elsewhere. The site looks so close to that other shady one it cant just be a coincidence. The stock is basically identical, the red background photographs, the format, the Artwork, the phony 'discount' pricing system. They are also the only 'o...

Re: Hubertus shell puller

I've always loved Shell pullers!! Nice job mate; the filework is tasteful; so many knives get tarted up and over done with the file. This one works.

Re: 1970s 11'' INOX Flat Grind Restoration

Thanks natcherly; I'm pretty happy with 'Laz' !! The Scales are what I call 'Sedia identificato gamba' - Unidentified Chair Leg!!! We have an Irish Wolfhound Puppy named Sean; he recently destroyed a pretty nice 'Carver' Chair we had picked up and was sitting on the back porch. I looked at the remai...
