By the looks of the movie picture I would almost bet that the metal design material started out flat and was hammered over the stag. Almost like setting a fine stone in a crown on a ring or broach.

I use Corian Samples. You can buy them cheap off coriansamples.com and come in many colors. Corian is not as brittle as Plexiglass either.

I beleive that place called switchbladekits has nato military replacement scales in black. Krylon Fusion red them.

The reason I ask is I found one with a bad blade. Was going to try to convert it as a project and make a new blade. Medici swing guards have existed on the market a long time.

Had a couple questions on the Mikov Lever. From what I can tell the lever is a duel spring system? (Reminds me of fingernail clippers). Does the top spring give upward tension to the lever while the bottom spring pushes against some shoulder to give tension to the lock? The locking pin I'm guessing ...

Thanks guys. Great advice. I think I figured out the lever lock but just need to find some Mikov close ups to get a good grasp of the design. Tore a Italian style apart for a template. Would like to scan it and run it through a 3D printer.

Hey everyone. Do any of you know a place to find some plans or drawings for leverlocks or button switchblades? I want to try and build a scratch made swing guard and a leverlock. CAD drawings will work also. Thank you.
