Re: AWESOME coil spring D2 horn humpbacks,. with a "twist"

I've straightened my share of blades using whatever method seemed most favorable but I've snapped a few doing so. Trying to straighten 20-30 stiletto blades isn't my idea of a good time and I don't think it should be on my plate. Personally I think that Sara should offer to adjust the price we agree...

Re: AWESOME coil spring D2 horn humpbacks,. with a "twist"

We all know italian knives have their issues but these are special knives at a premium price. I was told Frank himself assembled them (but I suspect differently). I just hate unwrapping a candy bar and telling the maker that it smells like shit and having them tell me "that's the way they are suppos...

Re: AWESOME coil spring D2 horn humpbacks,. with a "twist"

Hey Mr Natch!!! How you been? Looks like social media is taking a toll of the forums. Surprisingly quite in the old neighborhood. Sara said they always use "old horn" because it's more stable. I know horn and other natural materials twist, swell, contract, etc with changes in temp and humidity but I...

Re: AWESOME coil spring D2 horn humpbacks,. with a "twist"

Blades are straight. Sara B claims that the horn "makes it impossible" to center the blades. Not only does that make no sense but a few blades are centered and one touches the liner on the opposite side. Why would the horn torque the blade to one side? There is horn on both sides. I'm being told tha...

AWESOME coil spring D2 horn humpbacks,. with a "twist"

We got in an order of custom coil spring humpbacks in horn with nickle silver bolsters and nicely marked D2 blades from FrankB that are KILLER in every way, accept for most of the blades being significantly off center to the point of touching the liners. I'm being told that "it is impossible to have...

Re: Looking For Specific Switchblade or Custom

The Microtech Ultratech is the best value if you want a DA / OTF for EDC. Way cheaper than a Scarab or Troodon but the same blade length in a more compacy package. I wouldn't use a Dalton, Harkins or custom Microtech for EDC. Once you use it the value drops considerably.

Re: Button Open Button Close

I think the liability of making an "auto close" side opener would be huge. The same reason they don't make double edge side openers. People like their fingers and prefer to keep blood inside their skin.

Re: Any word on those Beltrame Trap Doors?

I never understood the popularity of the trap door design beyond it's rarity. It's more a gravity knife than an auto. Maybe he did some market research and decided against it. If he made a limited run they would be expensive and if he made a large run the prices and resale would go down.

Re: New? Swingers.

Got to love Stu, but he went from wholesale prices to us collectors to full suggested retail plus ...I stated this before, I suspect he wants to be a wholeseller to dealers more than a direct retailer to collectors. His prices to the public are the highest now, when he use to be the lowest and all ...

Mr. Andrea,

Are you jimpin' kidding? I hope so! I would not buy a knife with that goofy tang stamp...
Heck Jerr, just the cost of the stamping would put it out of your price range.

Re: The New Tang Stamp from Italy?

Never been a big fan of anything other than identifying marks on a blade but if you want to do it maybe on the back side you could put instructions for use and maybe some maintenance tips.

Re: AB-COLTELLERIE Di PREGIO- Knife line 2013

Knives look nice and the solid NS bolsters are great but I'm not a big fan on having stuff written all over the blade. Personally I'd like to see some real design changes rather than tweaks on an old design.

Re: Looking For Specific Switchblade or Custom

We have some Makoras in stock if that is what you are looking for. IMHO the Ultratech is a much better deal. It's basicly a Makora without the grippy inserts for a whole lot less $$$$.

Re: Possible GREAT NEWS coming for PENNSYLVANIA!

Kniferights does GREAT WORK and they get results !! I urge everyone here to join and support Kniferights. The more funding they have the more proactive they can be in getting these archaic knife laws changed.
