Proposal for a lion figure dirk

I bought a couple of manual dirks from a friend with the intention of cannibalizing them for their nickel silver bolsters and creating a nice switchblade. Here's what I've come up with for the first one. Note, I drew in the bolster and pommel just to get a perimeter and some pertinent dimensions. Th...

Stiletto styled gravity knife

A Facebook friend, Ray Vitkus, asked me if I had ever looked at a parabolic blade. Honestly, the one problem I had in CAD was creating a pleasing and reasonable curve to profile the blade. My friend, Killbucket, suggested that since I knew where the point was supposed to be and where the edge of the...

The brighter side of things

A married couple was in a terrible accident where the man's face was severely burned. The doctor told the husband that they couldn't graft any skin from his body because he was too skinny. So the wife offered to donate some of her own skin. However, the only skin on her body that the doctor felt was...

Senior Moment

A balding, white haired man walked into a jewelry store in a local mall this past Friday evening with a beautiful much younger gal at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring. The man said, ...

Re: Proposal for a Sub-hilt fighter automatic

Previously I posted a design and then expressed a couple of doubts. First was doubt that anyone would want to take this project on and second was that I would be in a position to fund the project at any time in the near future. I can now say that both of these hurdles have been overcome by JimBrown2...

Re: The Infamous Black Beauty

Ok, don't forget that George Cameron owns the trademark "Black Beauty" and has built a few switches with that name. Walt Harucha (spelling?) owns "Latama" and that brand is still produced as well. People speak of these brands as if they were last available in the 50's and are str...

Re: NEW Italian Switchblade book!

If any of you have looked for a copy of Bob Chopra's Switchblades Exposed or Vinny Federico's Foreign Spring Steel , then you understand how impossible they are to find. This will be the next must have it book if you let this opportunity slip by. The photography is incredible and he covers knives I ...
