Re: Could someone explain the lack of enthusiasm?

A lot of the guys here, maybe most of them, concentrate on vintage Italian. It's like taking a Corvette to a model T show, they could care less.

Re: 15 inch Italian

As far as I can tell, it's random and arbitrary ... unless you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. Once you come on their radar, they black ball you forever. Killbucket sold thousands of legal prop miniguns until one day they noticed a suspect MANUAL knife which clearly stated it was not a ...

Re: Blade sits "Proud"

Stilettos are all about illusion. Nothing on them is really symmetrical. That's why the modern CNC-made ones always look like crap. I don't want to piss you off, but you're going to have to explain that better. I find a lot of symmetry in the Italians and I'm the clown who makes drop point and upsw...

Re: New 13"picklock

I really like my 11", so the 13's should be great. I think the 11's were underpriced, but I can't justify a 13" where it's almost double ...

Re: Can someone help identify this “Stiletto”

Hello , just purchased this. Says Italy Stainless and something so lightly stamped underneath I can’t make it out with a 10x loop. Blade looks to be lasered with the word “Stiletto”. Brass lined. Fires hard sits perfectly in the middle when closed and locks up very tight. Seems to be very well made...

Re: A.G.A. 10"- 5mm Picklocks

Thanks again Ian and all that are posting these beauties from their collections. My mind (and eyes) keep going back to Dave's piece engraved by Bill. I just can't stop admiring that piece of art! I'd really like (love) to get the 7 I've posted done like that. After all, can't have just 1 look so mu...

What Don said. Since you are back to giving me shit about the car and my knives, she must be doing well. I couldn't be happier for both of you. Keep it up.

Re: American Sardinian

Right now, Duke wants one and I want one, so it may be incarnated as a pair. I always thought LF was charging a high, but appropriate fee. This is the single most complex design I've ever done considering that the bolster, the escutcheon and the guards all have to mate together. So, I'm not going to...

Re: Ripper, Jack The

Dave sent me another set of drawings with the wider (and thicker) blade with a slightly steeper flat grind. When I finally receive this piece It will be tough enough to go ou and fell a small tree! I'll ask Dave to "re-christen" the knife with a name he decides upon. If he decides to call...

Re: What's the deal with Fishtails?

in 1956 a cheese steak would cost thirty-five cents. you could buy a 9" Rosco for about six bucks. Six bucks was a lot of money in an Irish-Italian, Catholic, blue color, stay at home mom with 9 kids neighborhood. Anyway, I'm just an old geezer that was reminiscing about the Bad Old Days, whil...

Again, check with shursnap. Waving to Mark. I'm going to have to start charging consultation and finder's fees. :o
