You're in trouble now, buddy. Not only have you joined the lunatics, but you have the temerity to call yourself Dave. You will get fear from people thinking you're that giant, ax-wielding one,or worse, ignored because of the loud-mouthed a$$hole one (me).

Wicked Pisser 13" Damascus Kris Swinger

https://youtu.be/gZU3xLFKWVc Here's the latest of my designs to be turned into reality. I hate publishing the builder's pictures and video until after I actually get the knife in my hot little hands, but he's gone public and so am I. This is a new builder that I am dealing with and he really tries ...

Re: Damascus Leverlock

Thank you. Cheap damascus steel offers nothing over cheap non-damascus, except looks. Most of the damascus used in these Pakistani knives is junk. Bill, there you go again with these sweeping statements and condemning an entire country or industry. I"m going to be extremely careful with wordin...

Hey, Rube!

A husband and wife who work for the circus go to an adoption agency. The Social Workers raise doubts about their suitability. The couple produces photos of their 50-foot motor home, which is clean and well maintained and equipped with a beautiful nursery. The Social Workers then raise concerns about...

Re: Art of the Switchblade

Vinny Federico's "Foreign Spring Steel" was a limited edition that didn't sell out at like $100, which hardly covered the production costs. But then one guy bought up the remaining copies and most got water damaged. So now a clean copy goes for $200+. If you want the book, grab it. The pri...

Re: WTB: Renzo Pascotto-made Wasp-Body Flatguard

I've been lucky enough to collect quite a few Pascotto, Renzo anvil sunburst stamps, and oddly, they seemed to come through at a bit lower price than the equivalent AGA's and significantly less than Walt's Latamas. I always thought that they were very underappreciated. Renzo is now mid-70's and prod...

Re: 11" Frank B Picklock

Jules - while we are at it, here is the Beltrame coil-spring Humpback I picked up back in 2012. I'm not a fan of humpbacks, but I am a fan of ram scales. That is a stunning knife. Are you sure that it is coil fired rather than leaf spring fired? Most coil fired knives have a big solid front bolster...

There's a few more on my list than the website, including Ragnar's epic and Vito Quattracochi's.

Re: Books on switchblades

Why not share the list here for others? Because it's in an email I only have to send, tricky to post here. Also I send forum links, shipping hints (verboten here), switch designs. It's really 4 emails I have sent to hundreds of people. Plus I am posting this response from a Kindle, I need to access...

You mean a Campolin or Walt's Latama, or one with Renzo's anvil stamp?

Re: Looking back

Getting ready to go to the Oregon show next week and was picking out a couple of knives to take with me for any Show and Tell occasions that might come up and included the Phoenix in the mix. It has been a couple of years since I originally posted about the knife so I thought I'd bubble the origina...

Thanks, Luke (or is it Chris?) for the succinct and detailed reply. OCD or not, your post is full of great information. I wholeheartedly agree about your "consider the source" approach to this perennial question. Likewise, I see no reason to dispute anything you've offered. I accept and de...
