Re: Grind Works Selling FAKE AKC knives?

Hey Tom, MY BAD!
I was looking at the “Read More” drop down menu and not the “Show All Specs” drop down menu. That IS somewhat deceiving…… Hey did you see my keys laying around anyplace? :D

Re: Since some knives are "disposable"...

Hi Fishtail Picklock,
As my old friend who sold cars use to say "There is a seat for every ass, and a ass for every seat. Applying that saying to knives, I'm sure there is someone out there who would pay more for a Rizzuto Estileto Milano then a Latama. I guess it is whatever your “cup of tea” is.

Re: French, Pin and Screw?

Hi Bill, Thanks for the reply! Yes I know the pin is the easiest way to go. I figure I would try to keep it “Factory” stock. I’m seeing asking prices for these damn things keep going up. I’m not so sure they are selling them for the asking price. I just assume a vintage knife is more desirable in “F...

NICE WORK! I’m assuming the brass finger ring is for ornamentation? Typically the pull ring was to unlock a side opener, which I’m sure you know. Altho I guess it could helps as a finger guard.
Where did you get your brass screws from?

Re: Grind Works Selling FAKE AKC knives?

I don’t see “Made in China” I do see “from the great country of Italy” (however my wife of over 30 years) always tells me I cant find my ass with my own two hands, after she hides my keys on the key rack. All men out there know they belong on the kitchen counter. I pulled out my AKC 13 inch which I’...

French, Pin and Screw?

No, this is NOT a X-Rated Post! I was hoping some one could help me with info on a French Begon. I have parts for a Begon that I would like to assemble. However I do not know if the top bolster (closest to the blade) was assemble at the factory with a SCREW or PIN. I have found photos on the ...

YES! I agree, it is called a swing guard stiletto and it has a better locking system (when blade is open) then the Rizzuto :D

And I'm not allowed to display a single knife. "Auuugh . .WHAT's THAT. . .it's U-G-L-Y. . .do you HAVE to leave that weapon laying there ? Ha LOL! I have heard that before! All of my treasures (my wife call's it $hit) are ether down stairs, in the basement or in the garage. I don't mind, I love my ...

Hey Jerryk25 Let me start off by saying I’m sorry to hear that you are having health issues and wish you the best, and will keep you in my prayers. I float in and out of the knife forums so I don’t keep up as much as some of the other members, and sometimes I’m out of the loop on things. Now back to...

Re: Some K-12s

WOW this brings back memories, in the mid to late 70’s seeing a advertisement for a stiletto for $1.00! Don’t ask me why, but I remember the company was Midwest Knife Company in Chicago (I could be wrong, it was over 40 years ago). When you received the knife that seamed to take 10 months to arrive,...

Hi Dan, If you do find someone here in the USA to fix it, you might have a hard time getting it back to the UK! There is a member on this forum (good guy, or should I say bloke) “gravknife” A.K.A. Ian and he lives in the UK. I could be wrong, but I recall he was having one hell of a time getti...
