Casino Royale knife
I just saw the new James Bond remake of Casino Royale and in one scene a bad guy was dispached with a damascus switch blade . It was only a quick glimpse, but it looked like a Mikov. Anybody else seen it and got a better look?
So, the Mikov is yet the latest switchblade painted red as a weapon. Hollywood, and U.S TV seem to be lapping up leverlock's at the mo', the leverletto appears to be a favorite. How long till We see "Any knife opened by lever" added to the naughty list?.

don't know about the U.K. ,but here if it contains a spring 1958How long till We see "Any knife opened by lever" added to the naughty list?.
of course now it varies so much from state to state ,and what not ,it's almost impossible to tell.
But leverlocks were included in the original law.
A switchblade (also known as automatic knife, switch, or, in British English flick knife) is a type of knife with a folding blade that springs out of the grip when a button or lever on the grip is pressed. Switchblades are illegal weapons in many jurisdictions.
I know, but with all this publicity I wondered how long entirely for the lever mechanism alone.j.a.c. wrote:don't know about the U.K. ,but here if it contains a spring 1958How long till We see "Any knife opened by lever" added to the naughty list?.

misunderstood your original post.
Get two semi-sober politicians in a room and it won't take em long to come up with a bill.
unless either is a shareholder in the company that makes em.

Trust me, compared to only a few years ago, things have loosened up.
Twenty years ago, switchblades were nearly impossible to obtain, balisongs were strictly banned and the only one handed knife available was the floating guard clasp knife, which would open with a flick of the wrist.
When one of those fell apart, which some did, you could see the holes in the liners for an automatic mechanism.
Remember those colorful lockbacks? They had clear plastic scales over gaudy artwork that said "Lion" "Tiger" "Dragon" "Elephant" and such.
Wooden grips were embossed with "Wolf" or "707".
I don't remember any plain ones.
One type was marked "Saigon", and persisted even after the war was long over.
These were commonly made in Japan, and had rather good blades.
I actually miss the damned things.

Life has no value, Death has a price
I finally saw this movie, a bali appeared in it as well. It looked like a high end Darrell Ralph, did anyone else catch that?
I thought the movie ROCKED btw (my personal opinion).
