Two from the 60's
Hello guys today is a good day as these two arrived today. The Pattada had an issue with not closing , and when i saw a photo of the button stuck down i knew it could be a broken return spring or hopefully corrosion / crap between the bolster and button , the knife gods have been kind, as it was so, WD40 And a blowjob with the compressor and its firing and closing like a champ. Copper bolsters, brass button and safety oal is 8 and 1 half inches. Indiana extra stamp / patent to rear. Solid lock up, faux ivory scales. The second is an 8" swinger in stag, d stamped liner , nickel furniture Inox in script with patent to rear opens really fast solid lock up and the guards are tight too
Guns for show, knives for a pro!

A couple great ones Peter! It's cool that it was an easy fix on the Pattada, and the stag on the swinger is outstanding!

The top one is, what a pocketknife should be
Re: Two from the 60's
Great scores, Peter. A couple of outstanding knives. Bravo!
Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.
Re: Two from the 60's
Wow Peter your collection is coming right along. The belly on the Pattada is a real slicing machine.
Excellent job my friend.

Peter if your wife knew just how much money you have spent on knives there might be some other kind of sausage being cut.peter44 wrote:Perfect for sausage cuttingViking45 wrote:Wow Peter your collection is coming right along. The belly on the Pattada is a real slicing machine.

I know , she is sat not two feet away from me now : I have a list of purchases that I write the price I paid for them on and I had it in my wallet after I had added to the list, I looked for it today and could not find it I thought it had fallen into the wrong hands but after frantic searching I found it where I hid it the day before it seems the old short term memory is not what it was My sausage remains intactViking45 wrote:Peter if your wife knew just how much money you have spent on knives there might be some other kind of sausage being cut.peter44 wrote:Perfect for sausage cuttingViking45 wrote:Wow Peter your collection is coming right along. Really like the Pattada. This type of knife would make a great pocket knife. Perfect size and an auto to boot. Great find.

Nice - an old Pattada and an old swinguard - great additions to the collection.

I watch very little television but last week I stumbled across the show with the little bald guy that eats goat butts and chicken feet.
He was in Sardinia and a guy was slicing smoked pork tissue thin using a Pattada. The knife was razor sharp because the slices were see-through.
I have to get a Pattada, love the blade design.
