Where does your screen name come from?

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

Where does your screen name come from?

Post by dark2023 »

(There may have been a better way to word the topic, but alas. I cannot think of it.)

Anyway, I figured I would create a topic were people could explain the significance of their screen-name. I did this mainly cause I'm curious and because I was inspired by FTA's topic explaining his screen name.

So, mine? Well, it's based off a video game from 2000 called Perfect Dark. This game was for the Nintendo 64 game system. It was (and still to some extent is) my favorite video game (of all time). It takes place in the year 2023. Hence, Dark2023. Make sense?

Mine's my middle name, although I am known as denofearth on some forums. That one came from Heavy Metal, my favorite animated movie.

No reason really for mine except it was the first "snappy" word I could think of when I found my first switchblade forum about 8-9 years ago.

Mine is rather self-evident, and certainly one of the least creative.

In college I was given an assigned screenname for logging into the University email system using my initials and the month and day of my birth... BTB 09 23 . I started using that screenname for other things so I wouldn't have to remember multiple login usernames, and unfortunately it stuck. It's boring, but it's easy to remember.

My youtube screenname, oAROWANAo, has a better explanation. An arowana is one of the large amazonian fish I keep in one of my aquariums. She is the long fish at the top of these pictures. She's about 2 feet long now...
