Re: Replacement spring for vintage leverlock
It seems worth it to me. Appears to be in very nice condition and would increase the value to boot.

If a slide-in spring does not work, I will consider it. What would this knife be worth properly repaired? I paid about $75 for it.

you can order a Hubertus spring for 8 dollars or so why not go this route I've used these plenty of times in customers knives as cheap alternative to spring replacement if they want to save a few dollars . I'd order a couple the same spring can vary in thickness . the dealer who had the Donald trump knives made sent me about 8 of them for a gift for repairing his knives and they were all different thickness . if you need phone number to order some drop me an e-mail.

Re: Replacement spring for vintage leverlock
I usually braze in a new sear on lever lock knives I have sent to me for repairs most of these are repaired by beating the blade hole closed to keep the knife from peaking which works I just preferer replacing the sear which is what usually causes the peaking in the first its just a a better way to go about the repair .
