Nemo,
Pictures came out really nice! You can put more up anytime, I enjoy looking
at the file work. Do any factory blades come with filework or are they all
modified by us.

This is my first attempt at trying file work.It didn't come out like i wanted to but it was ok for a first try.
http://home.attbi.com/~arokiem/filework.html
I used needle files the diamond types are great.
Tell and Grobet make great files that last a long time.

Great job!..very detailed...now just hit it with some 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper and watch it shine...it will make your "dark" areas more pronounced...you must have better eyes than me... :) .....Nemo

Hey Nemo,

What are the scales on the bottom Mikov? Is that a belt clip also?
Looks really neat.

mr nemo,

i have been curious enough about this artform to want to give it a try - is there any chance i could see more of a side view of the blade, so i can see how deep your cuts go? - also, to do the kind of work in your pics above, obviously you have to dismantle the knife right?

Oh yea....I have worked on just about everything...but the american made ones seems to have more limits and less soul...don't get me wrong I like them...but lately my brain is leaning towards more artsy stuff....and the Italians just look so good when done right.......Nemo

Well, I have 3 chainsaw files and went to work last nite on a throwaway knife... man those thing rip away the metal fast... very fun, and seems simple enough (w/ practice) that I might be able to get the hang of it... pics to follow :D
