How do you take the bottom bolsters off a LeverLetto ?

Post by Cryptomecanic »

will they pop off if you hit them with a brazing torch, or large soldering iron,or is it better to just grind them down to the little tab untill they come off

Grind the bolster dead center on a bench grinder. The bolster is hollow and held on by a raised tab off the liner. Wear glasses because when the weld breaks, it flies off with the intention of doing bodily harm. Then simply pound the tab back into the liner and sand smooth.

I use a cold chisel and just line it up with the top of the bolster and rap and it comes off clean. Then I flatten the tab down.

I've been trying to get some pictures for most of the afternoon, and I've come to the conclusion I'm going to need somthing besides a $20 walmart camera to take Knife pictures! ( I think there's a fellow that hangs around here quite a bit that knows a little bit about cameras) he could probably recomend one :)
