The Korn mechanism was/is a failure.

It is pretty funny that Korn paid to patent a design no one would ever copy. To bad he isn't around to see what those ones sell for now.

The design requires a bolster that is milled on the inside. Each one had to be individually set up and milled on a milling machine.
The mechanism is delicate and goes out of time easily. There are much simpler mechanisms that have withstood the test of time.
