Any idea on this Henckels?

I could be wrong but I swear this appears to be a pen blade release? Would explain why he couldn't get the blade to close, no?

Yes, it's a pen release. Not an auto, though.

Not an auto? There were manual pen blade release knives? I'm the fool who bought it, thought I had me a henckels auto :( Guess that's what I get for thinkin' :lol:

Yes, they were lockblades.
There is a possibility it's auto, though I have never seen mention of a Henkels auto with that mechanism.

Bill correct me if I'm wrong here but I had a little German-made number that had a pin that moved in little slots in the liners so you had to hold it one way to open and another to close it.
Not exactly sure how this mechanism works with the smaller blade.
I know you have to press down on the smaller blade to open and close the larger one.

MM,I see another nice re-build in the near future. Maybe you can make a new small blade :?:

well, got it in the mail today, it's trashed to say the least but I think it's salvageable. As usual Bill's right it's a manual lockblade pen blade release. guess i'll tear into this one some day, will need to make a new pen blade for it cause this one "has possible been sharpened to a nub" as the seller put it :shock:
