I'm not even gonna say it....

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

Sounds like the 911 operator wanted to get all the info correct before she/he could free a car up for that call, when seconds count the police are only minutes away, that is after you spend a few minutes on the phone with the 911 operator.

'Just wait for the officer' 'talk to the police' *hang up* it's normal procedure for the operator to stay on with a distraught caller until they have assistance.
