Well the fest is this Saturday and I can't wait to get there. The way they work is Friday night is always refered to as T.N.O.B. (the night of the barrels) and is all cask or barrel aged beers with lot's of sour and wild ales . Sat there are 2 sessions , I'm working the early one .It runs from 1-5 . Here's the initial line up. They've added a few more breweries and another 20 or so beers ,but they were posted in another thread so I just copied the main list.
5 or 6 of the offerings are once a year limited releases and only available at the breweries and they usually sell out in a couple hours. These events are the only way most people will ever get to taste them. In fact March 1st , about 500 people will swarm Portsmouth N.H. for the annual release of KATE THE GREAT . A Russian Imperial Stout that the Portsmouth brewery releases once a yr. They keg 1/2 for their pub and the other 1/2 is bottled (900 botles -22 ounce) Limit of 2 bottles per person and some of the insane people will be lining up outside from around midnight on to make sure of getting there 2 bottles.
I've had it on tap at the brewery and it's the best stout and one of the best beers I've ever had. Still no way in hell I'm standing out in the cold in N.H. on March 1st for 2 bottles of beer.

Had a great time , I poured all day for a small brewery from St. louis ,(Schlafly) had some really good beers including a keg of 1994 Sierra Nevada Big Foot barley wine. The bacon beers were good but I think the most unique beer there was a Key lime pie beer brewed just for the event from Short's Brewing.Food was also very good had a rack of ribs with a b.b.q. sauce made from Arrogant Bastard ale from stone brewing.
