Now What?

Post by Wally J. Corpse »

Greetings, Legion Of Fan-

Good news! Eye just overheard the enema technicians chortling over a new development, to wit: the newly elected resident has promised to put forth a 'stimulus package' to help the common man. Oh boyo! I sure would like to have mine package stimulated, and not with the usual sticky truncheon, either. Did any of you gentlemen get yours yet? I hope it's not going to be another crummy inflateable secretary of state doll who only says "O", and hisses when approached diplomatically. Rumor has it that the currency dwarves are busily printing up scads of dollars to disperse amongst those who will never receive them. I can hardly wait. You know what? I might just donate my share to those most needy and deserving of free money, the auto makers, the insurance giants, and those poor folks who passed out doomed real estate loans, whatcha' think?

AS ever,

Your ol' pal,

Wally J. Corpse

The "stimulis package" is almost identical to the one Castro adopted in the 50s.
And should allow us to dethrone Cuba as leaders in science, medicine, and technology
Since the ruling junta isn't through yet, their further endevors may permit US displacing Romania as an economic powerhouse
The gain of the [Romainan] Leu against the dollar may stop.
The good news [for Cuba] is, they may gain considerable savings by reducing their forces currently guarding against the large numbers of oppressed Floridians seeking asylum or illegal entry
The "NO MORE BOAT PEOPLE" signs are quietly being removed as I post

Gee, Gosh, I'm greatly relieved now. Will I get back the $25,000+ my 401K lost in the last year?

I'd be willing to contribute another 10 or 20 to help pay for the rectal rats you mentioned in another thread, Wally, to be distributed among the people who've profited from this economic disaster.

Mr. Corpse,

If'n my boss doesn't land some more work in the next few months, I'll be getting those funny IOU unemployment checks from the Governator. I'm sure after 8 years of Obama Mama, we'll all be rocket science bridge builders.

Mr. Tr4252,

I too lost a big chunk of my 401K. Enough of that nonsense I said and cashed it in. Boy howdy was the IRS jumping for joy at that marvelous move. 20% right off the top for Obama's top slut Nancy's new jet. Now that my company is recontributing to my 401K, I'm amazed at the fact I owe them more money than I'm contributing. WTF is up with that?

Best regards,

Bonz

I'd always thought a retirement fund was a good idea, now I'm not so sure. I suspect that the advantage of deferred taxes will evaporate by the time I'm of age, because all this mess will come out of the taxpayers pocket, plus whatever other hair-brained programs these idiot politicians come up with by then. I stopped contributing in January of '08, not because I'm a sharp money manager, but because I didn't like they way the fund was being handled. That plus I was saving up for a new CNC machine. At least I haven't been throwing money down the toilet for the last 5 quarters. I may switch to a Roth type fund, if I ever work up enough trust again, which is doubtful.

I'm thinking that this country has gone from "Land of the Free" to "Land of the Free Lunch"; free for the parasites, that is.

Bonzo, I took a similar hit years ago, when I cashed an IRA to help me start a business. It's hard to believe that the company I worked for at the time contributed dollar for dollar back then. Now even AARP is discontinuing employer contributions, I've heard. The company I work for now doesn't contribute anything, never did, which is more in keeping with the F**K the workforce" attitude of employers these days.

i guess i gotta little stimulation in my check this week. there was about $15.50 more than usual so i called our bookkeeper and asked her wassup wit dat? not that i am against more money in my pocket but will i have tp pay in more next year on my tax return? we figgered it up and it will be within a few bucks of the stimulus check i got last year. so where am i doing better mr. obama? if ya wanted to give me another six hunnert bucks why cant i have it all at one time so i can buy a new old picklock or something else constructive.

and another thing i wanna know is the desk that obama signed the "stimulus package "on,the same desk that Bill Clinton got his "package stimulated" on?

When you figure the amount you will pay in other hidden taxes/fees/interest/service charges/etc, that $15 will probably COST you about $2500 a year [LOW estimate]

Mr. Vagrant,

I was thinking of investing in US savings bonds. 10 years, double your money. The only thing that scares me, will there be a USA in 10 years? Will the UN be issuing UN savings bonds? I can see it now, invest in Nigeria.

Best regards,

Bonz

You're worried about U.N. bonds ??????????????
I think they will be in Rubles
Although IF it takes a Russian invasion to save us from the current Socialist mis-administration, and return us to capitalism, how bad can that be :?:

If I had taken cash when I retired, taxes would have taken 38%. We all know about 20/20 hindsight. That would still have left me more in my IRA than I have now......
