Whatcha smokin?
I am a chronic Marlboro relapser, however, my true passion is fine cigars. I try to stick with cigars, but still smoke cig's occasionally
I imagine some of you folks also enjoy a good smoke as well!
I'd love to hear what everyone else is burning?
I just went to one of our local shops to a Rocky Patel event and sampled the Rocky Patel Burn - very nice smoke. Pretty strong cigar, dark and oily - Nish was actually supposed to be there, but the Rocky rep said his wife fell ill.
I've been very partial to the La Gloria Cubana Serie N lately. Very spicy, with near perfect burn.
I just had to try the Alec Bradley Prensado (Cigar Afficianado's #1) recently, and let me say, it deserved the honor. I have few moments to truly relax anymore, with a 2 1/2 year old and pregnant wife - It was a perfect nite, the Iowa air was cool but not cold, and I sat in my garage in my comfy camping chair with my feet up and my laptop on my...well, lap. I sipped a cappucino and smoked that cigar for a solid hour and it wasnt even HALF gone. It was awesome. Very nice experience.

Never much into "stogies." Tried some when I was young - Hava Tampas & Rum Soaked Crooks is about all. Liked the smell of 'em, but since you aren't supposed to inhale I didn't have much use for 'em...
Now, it's Sky Dancer Black 100's I get from a nearby Injun Casino for $21 buck dollars a carton... Prior was Smokin' Joe's Natural for the same price, but these result in a LOT less coughing...
(Hopelessly addicted to the "Killer Weed!")

I smoke no names. I get them at a roll your own store. $36.00 / carton and they kinda maybe taste like a Marlboro light. Better than smoking a piece of rope. Also better than paying almost $90.00 a carton for Marlboro's.
Re: Whatcha smokin?
i can't afford to buy them anymore, so i roll my own. when i do buy thou it's either NATE SHERMAN natural lights or NEW YORK CUT BLUE.

Mr. Sicboy,
Nothing whatsoever. Quit cigs when I watched my (now sainted) Dad cough up bits of his lungs due to smoking 4 packs of Pall-Mall nonfilters a day. When he passed away, the pathologist was so impressed with his lung cancer, he took a sample for his private collection. Weed makes me paranoid and my heart pound, so thats out, even though I live in MJ heaven.
By all means though, enjoy!
Best regards,
Bonz

No fellow dog turd burners on here? A group of us sober drunks get together and smoke cigars (dog turds) each week...we've been coined "The DT's"....Dog Turd Society...thought it was pretty clever myself
In all seriousness, I wish some of those anti-smoking ads, cancerous lung stories, etc. would make an impact on me. I try to only smoke cigars, which are still bad for you, but still better than cigarettes in my expert non-medical opinion....

Re: Whatcha smokin?
I have had a few good cigars in my time. My next door neighbors father came back from his trip to the Czech Republic and brought back about a dozen or so primo cigars(all different brands) and he gave me a 12 dollar Dominican that lasted well over an hour and about 6 or 7 beers later and I never did finish it.
It was smooth but had a kick. I may still have the band from that cigar somewhere. Seems like it may have had a woman's face on it but it was dark outside

Re: Whatcha smokin?
I've been saving all my bands for a while...i want to shellac them all over one of my boxes...womans face on a band...that could be a wide category...perhaps la aroma de cuba? Or Gloria Cubana?

I could be mistaken on that but it had a face and being dark outside it looked like a woman's face. He told me it was a Dominican.sicboy13 wrote:I've been saving all my bands for a while...i want to shellac them all over one of my boxes...womans face on a band...that could be a wide category...perhaps la aroma de cuba? The band is still in a "junk" box somewhere, maybe I will find it one of these days.
It was a large cigar, dark in color and looked a lot like this one- http://www.cigaraficionado.com/cigars/t ... 11/rank/11
Sorry,I know this doesn't help much.

I only smoke a pipe these days. Started pipes about 40yrs ago. These days smoke Hearth and Home Louisiana Red. It's a vaper blend that hits mt buttons. But only smoke a couple bowls a month as I tend to inhale and that is rough on your lungs.
Otherwise I smoked the Hell out of my rear tires on the Chevelle this evening. That 540 really tears tires up.

I've got a long "on-again/off-again" love with Pall Mall lights(blue).
Other than that... I do live in Kentucky, so... you know...
Bluegrass ain't just an awesome style of music
Gots to kick that tobacco habit, though... Sept. 29 will be my last inhale, 'cause I turn 30 that next day and I don't want to be smoking in my 30's.
If that plan fails, my wife is planning on quitting when we throw away the birth control (after she gets out of grad school). I reckon that'd be a bandwagon worth jumping on
I's able to kick the habit for 13months, but then landed in Athens, Greece. And after a 13 hr plan ride -and not to mention that folks smoke all over the place in Greece, it wasn't even a question, I needed a smoke
Fun little topic, Sicboy!

Quit smoking everything quite a few years ago. unfortunately I'm still an addict, it just goes between my cheek and gum.
