Very nice work.
But that's a commercially made blade, isn't it?

Hi Bill, it is a commercial blade. I added the guard and the subhilt and the scales. Next try will be from a blank. I already have in mind a design, and scales. Have been reading on how to do hollow and flat grinds, and watching some videos. I think I can do it. Looking forward to trying!

It is quickly getting that way! Moving into a new home this week, nice place for a new shop set up, then things will really get going!

Please be sure to post pics of your third try! If your like some of our manglers on this forum your ideas and talents will improve with every build. I have a few of stray dog's works and he has traveled miles on his building talents. I have one of his early builds and some that he customized close to 10 years ago and they are my prized pieces. I've been off the forum for awhile and I see his recent builds and I'm even more amazed how his projects have progressed. I have am old china clunker he worked over and I still like clicking it. I also have a few stilettos and a mikov he worked over for me which to me are the bomb diggety! Keep it up, I think you are on your way.
